Duties and Responsibilities Review of the annual budget to be presented to the Board of Directors. The Chairperson will be in contact with the Society's Treasurer to obtain the budget report, including the prior annual meeting, in the late summer or early fall. The Chairperson will circulate copies to other members of the Finance Committee. Provide recommendations concerning financial reserves. The Committee will recommend to the Board policy concerning the financial reserves of the Society. This policy will suggest appropriate levels for the reserves, ways to achieve the desired level of reserves and guidelines for an investment policy. Setting of annual membership dues and meeting registration fees. The Committee will submit to the President by the end of January of each year a recommendation about the amount of membership dues for the upcoming year and for the registration fee for the Annual Meeting The Finance Committee will advise the Executive Committee concerning the advisability and appropriateness of an audit after review of each annual budget report. The Chairperson shall consider and pursue any other financial matters that seem appropriate.
